About Wild Child Art and Nature Camps
We are an intimate program with a 8-1 Ratio making sure your “Wild Child” has the best experience with their peers and camp leads while staying safe through these trying times.
The whole day will be spent outdoors, in the water, sand, dirt & trees. Please have your child come in clothes that they can get dirty in. Remember to label any items they bring. RE: backpack, water bottle, lunch box, clothes, sunscreen, etc.
Weekly rate for camps is $425.00 , Daily is $95.00
Wild Child Nature Camps follows the OUSD calendar, we hold camps not only on long holiday breaks but on extra days that aren’t considered government holidays such as Teacher Development days.
Note: Holidays and Teacher development days vary from school to school in the OUSD please reach out for space and availability.
Camp hours are Monday-Friday 9-3pm with extended care options.
Extended care is available until 4:00pm with a hourly rate separate from camp fees. Rates are $20.00 an hour.
Children 4- 9 years of age welcome! We will be expanding our age limit in the future.
Please dress your child appropriately for the weather and apply sunscreen. We will re-apply sunscreen after morning snack and lunchtime in the afternoon.
PLEASE NO OUTSIDE TOYS OR SPECIAL “GUYS” as they might get lost in the wild. We will have sharing day throughout the sessions.
Remember too pack a water bottle, AM snack and lunch.
For children staying for aftercare please pack a water bottle, AM and PM snack, as well as
lunch.
WILD CHILD DOES NOT PROVIDE SNACKS.
WE DO PROVIDE PLENTY OF WATER AND LOVE.
Camp Cancellation
In the event of lack of enrollment for camps. (Camps with less than two campers) the camps will be canceled and a full refund of any payment made will be refunded. In such an event parents/guardians will be notified up to one week before the weeks start date. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It not only affects parents/guardians it also affects Wild Child Nature School and Camps as well as its employees.
NATURE AND ART CAMP CANCELLATION DUE TO NATURAL UNPREDICTED SITUATIONS
Events such as major earthquake, fire, poor air quality, predicted lighting, high wind advisory, and teacher illness or injury may cause school/camps to be moved to another location, and/or canceled. Local conditions will be considered on predicted creek flooding days. No substitute days or refunds will be offered if the program is canceled that day. The number of canceled days can be unpredictable and substantial. Please keep this in mind when choosing an outdoor education program. Cancelations are dully considered with group health and safety in mind. I will send notifications via email and/or text. In some cases conditions may be fluid and you may be notified in the morning.
I check Weather Underground, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, East Bay Regional Parks, state COVID-19 dashboard, state dataset for children’s COVID-19 cases, Cal Fire, and state drought websites at least once a day before 6:30 AM.
NO SCHOOL, After School Enrichment or CAMPS on Full rain days policy.
Due to the need to keep face coverings breathable, maintain health, and for the need for sitting closely together under cover at mealtimes in wet weather, school or camps will be canceled. Please note NO REFUNDS for such full rain days will be given.
We are currently operating under modified conditions as directed by state and local
authorities.
